Education Project:

The Friends were honoured to be awarded a grant from the inaugural Elephant & Castle Community Fund in 2012.  The funds were used to create a new year-long education programme for children from a local school, Robert Browning Primary School, providing weekly classes focusing on outdoor themes, including plant and animal cycles, biodiversity, species identification and safe and organic gardening. The activities that the children have been involved in, such as planting new herbs, will also help increase the biodiversity of the park over the long term.

It has also enabled us to run a gardening after-school club in the park which is open to all.  More details can be found here.
